What to Check Before Choosing a Matrimonial Service

Verification depth
There is a large difference between a self-declared profile and one where identity, education, employment and family details have been independently checked. Ask which you are being shown, and what additional verification is available before a meeting.
How your data is handled
Ask who can see your profile, whether contact details are released without approval, and how a profile is removed once a match is finalised. A service that cannot answer this precisely is not handling it carefully.
Fee transparency
Registration, per-introduction charges, success fees and renewal terms should all be stated up front and in writing. Surprise charges at the point of a promising match are a known pressure tactic.
Support beyond the introduction
Compatibility discussion, pre-marital counselling and help with documentation matter more than the size of a database. And ask directly how second marriages, widows and widowers are supported — the answer tells you a great deal about the service's values.
